Lauren Neal
Lauren Neal, M.A. Ed, is a teaching faculty member of the Center for Trauma Resilient Communities. She is instrumental in providing education and consultation services to individuals, organizations, and communities in trauma-resilience practices. A dedicated and resourceful leader with over a decade of experience in education and professional development, Lauren excels at creating and implementing effective curricula, utilizing diverse teaching methods to help individuals achieve their goals and objectives.
Her passion for helping, collaborating, leading, and instructing is evident throughout her career as a teacher, mentor, trainer, and coach. Lauren received her master’s degree in Reading Education from Appalachian State University and her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in English, from Winston Salem State University. Additionally, she is certified in nonviolent crisis intervention, specializing in de-escalation techniques.
For the past 16 years, Lauren has proudly called Winston-Salem home, dedicating herself to serving the community through pedagogy and andragogy. Her work with youth and adults focuses on empowering others with knowledge, inspiring critical thinking, and fostering a collaborative spirit. As a role model, Lauren supports the holistic growth of children and encourages peace. She motivates individuals to pursue their dreams and contributes to the building of strong, resilient communities, leaving a lasting positive impact on society.
