Glynis Bell
Glynis career in non-profit spans more than 25 years. She was introduced to work in the non-profit arena as a Loaned Executive to United Way to assist with their workplace giving campaigns. From this, she learned the importance of building strong and authentic relationships, creating a connection between the work and why it matters and most importantly, understanding the pulse of the community through the lens of service and opportunities.
Glynis has served in non-profit leadership for several local organizations. One of her proudest professional accomplishments to date, is founding the local Dress for Success Winston-Salem affiliate, followed closely by the release of her book “Fierce and Fabulous” A Young Ladies guide to Inspiration and Positive Self-Image. Her professional career also includes teaching Interpersonal Psychology at Forsyth Technical Community College and Merchandising at Hanesbrands.
She has a BS in Mass Communications from Winston-Salem State University and a MS in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies from UNC-Greensboro. Glynis enjoys laughing, shopping, and anything that sparkles.
Glynis looks forward to working with the team and hopes that her experiences and passion for compassion will help build a stronger and more healed collective community.
